Are all exits clearly marked? 

 Yes, the safety of our residents is a top priority. All exits within our assisted and supportive living facility are clearly marked to ensure that residents can easily and quickly navigate the premises in case of an emergency.

Are caregivers available to assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)? If so, what does that include?

Our trained and compassionate caregivers are available to help with a range of essential daily activities to ensure the well-being and comfort of our residents. The assistance with ADLs may include, but is not limited to:

  • Personal hygiene: assistance with bathing and grooming.
  • Mobility support: aid with walking, transferring, and positioning.
  • Meal delivery
  • Medication management: support in adhering to medication schedules.
  • Toileting and incontinence care: assistance with toileting needs.

Are physical and health assessments performed on residents prior to admission?

Are there notary services on site?

Are there options for couples to stay together?

We understand the importance of maintaining close relationships, especially for couples. Our assisted and supportive living facility offers various accommodation options to ensure couples can continue sharing their lives together in a comfortable and supportive environment.

Can I have any overnight guests or visitors?

No overnight guests are allowed unless it is for medical reasons.

Can residents personalize their living spaces?

Absolutely! We understand the importance of creating a homey and personal environment for our residents. We encourage and support residents in personalizing their living spaces to make them their own.

Do residents go on regular outings, or do volunteers come into the community?

Residents here frequently go on outings, whether its to their favorite stores, the local library, the DMV, or popular restaurants in the area. And when weather permits frequent trips to the zoo, museum, and outside gardens. In addition to the wonderful outings, we do have volunteers that come into the community to provide music, bible study, and other arts and crafts.

Do we have to be married for a double occupancy unit to occupy that space?

No, double occupancy does not have to be occupied by a married couple only; it can be any two residents who both sign a contract in addition to an agreement stating they are roommates.

Does each resident have a written plan of care? If so, how often is it updated? 

The frequency of updates is determined by several factors, including changes in health status, evolving needs, or at the request of the resident or their family. Typically, care plans are reviewed bi-annually, but adjustments may be made more frequently if circumstances warrant.

Does the community have a licensed nurse or certified nursing assistant on staff 24/7?

We have a dedicated team of healthcare professionals on our campus, including  licensed nurses and certified nursing assistants, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Does the facility offer pendant pagers? 

We offer a limited number of pendant pagers. Ask us about availability.

Is there a process for involving residents in decision-making about their care?

We believe in fostering a collaborative and person-centered approach to ensure that individuals have a say in their well-being and lifestyle decisions. Our process for involving residents in decision-making includes:

  • Care Planning Meetings: We conduct regular care planning meetings where residents, their families, and our care team meet to discuss individual needs, preferences, and goals. This collaborative effort helps create personalized care plans.

Is transportation offered to residents for doctor’s appointments? If so, is the transportation staff-coordinated and wheelchair-friendly? Are mobility escorts available?

We understand the importance of ensuring our residents have convenient access to medical appointments. We provide transportation coordination services to and from doctor’s appointments to facilitate this.

What accessibility features are located throughout the community?

We are committed to creating an inclusive and accessible environment for all residents. Our assisted and supportive living facility is designed with various accessibility features to accommodate the diverse needs of our community members.

  • Elevators: elevators are available to provide convenient access to different floors within our community. This ensures that residents with mobility challenges can move freely throughout the facility.
  • Wheelchair ramps: we have wheelchair ramps strategically placed to facilitate easy entry and exit from buildings and common areas. These ramps are designed for safety and convenience.

What amenities are there?

We offer a beauty shop, on-site laundry, outdoor patio, general store, large social & gathering rooms, and a gym.

What are the safety features throughout the community?

Ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents is a top priority. Our assisted and supportive living facility is equipped with a range of safety features designed to create a secure and comfortable living environment for all.

Key Safety Features Include:

  • Handrails: handrails are strategically placed in common areas and hallways to support and stabilize residents as they navigate the Grab Bars: In bathrooms and other relevant areas, grab bars are installed to assist residents with stability and balance. These bars enhance safety, especially in spaces where mobility is crucial.
  • Walk-in showers: our bathrooms feature walk-in showers, ensuring easy and safe entry and exit. This design minimizes tripping hazards and promotes accessibility for all residents.
  • Emergency response systems: in addition to physical safety features, we have implemented emergency response systems throughout the community. These systems are in place to provide prompt assistance in case of emergencies, offering peace of mind to residents and their families.

What are your floor plans for residents’ rooms?

We offer all studio style units with options of small and large.  Contact us for rates.

What are your visiting hours?

The Facility’s recommended visitation hours are from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. subject to:

1) A resident’s request and consent for visitation outside of the recommended hours.

2) The rights of other residents; and

3) The Facility’s reasonable clinical and safety restrictions

What common spaces are available to encourage gathering?

Our assisted and supportive living facility is designed to provide residents with various inviting and comfortable common spaces to foster community engagement and social interaction. Common Spaces Include:

  • Dining rooms: spacious dining areas where residents can enjoy nutritious meals in a communal setting.
  • Lounges: comfortable lounges for relaxation, reading, or casual conversations with fellow residents.
